Training Camp 2008

7 - 10 march--- St John Training Camp 08

Day 1


have been in the camp on friday afternoon. main objective of the camp is to bond the cadets together and also train them to be stronger and not pampering them. Set off to Pulau Ubin and reach there at evening. Started to build basha..(terrible) Most of them nearly touch the ground.

Proceed to dinner (field cooking), sky is dark already(7plus pm). Many dogs there, barking and actually i'm quite scare. me, chunfung and lokhang always have lots to play around. Officers have our dinner at 10pm like tt...Have gastric pain..

2am, cadets awaken for night trial. Dogs around, me, jo, chunfung and lokhang having while waiting for the cadets to be caught. Wanted to train their bonding and urgence when their group ppl is missing.

Day 2

2nd day was peaceful where activity are mostly games and we went to Chek Jawak.. Walk to Chek Jawak in 45 mins - 1 hr. Really like hell... but i think first time i see ubin differently, cos through walkin, u can see the place more clearly. Spotted many jackfruit and the "MISTRESS" house!! LOL

day2 and we are actually craving for ICE cold DRINK!!!



Night time is always triage time!!! Had a short one and sent them to sleep. Me, jo and chunfung slept on hammock!! Dogs bark during the night and also many mosqito and sand fly.



Day 3



Rain, sun shine, Rain, Sun shine...on and off... I dun wan to get wet but on the other hand the sun is buring my face... My whole face sun burnt!!! played with water and I'm still wet in the end...



night, cook under the hut where we sleep. So happy cooking i even took pictures with them!!

1 MORE TIME!!!! CHeezZ!!!



Half way eating, a BAT was spotted by LOkhang... SHOCK!!!! I run out the first thing...

The War b/w "Bat & Human" BEGUN!!! Stones, rubber band and Paper fly around the hut. It was really funny. Human LOST!!! as the bat does wan to leave despite being hit a few times.



Anyway, we didnt sleep for the night cos campfire is at 0000hrs. first time having camp at this time, ended fast as firewood not really enough.



Kahsing came back with donavan and being blackmailed by the uncle. $38 coming to ubin for 2 pax.. A bangala came on ferry and he only paid $2!!!!



Day 4

Breakfast at Subway!!! Hurray!!! Back to Changi Village and back to sch..



What i felt unexpected was... all that we have done did not go into waste.

I can see the bond between them when break camp...singing cheers without us asking and everyone's high (without much sleep in the night)..
